If you've been following me right from the beginning, you know I've had my share of body image and self esteem issues. My most hated body part was my legs:"round legs", "bow legs", "fat legs", "huge calves", were all nick names I had given to me between late elementary to High School.(The song Unpretty by TLC comes to mind...) Other nick names were of course "fatty", "gorilla" and so much more! I hated shorts and skirts that came above my knee so guess what-I never wore them! I loved black and blue coloured items-too much color brought unwanted attention to me.............................

Fast forward 7 years later and this young lady has finally accepted her body-I won't lie, I started loving myself more after I lost the weight-which took hours upon hours of exercising twice a day and cutting out a lot of foods- but it happened! My legs still don't look like the girls in the magazines but I have realized that they probably never will but I can play around with that by wearing outfits that lengthen them or bring more attention to different body parts. I know that some outfits will make them look even chunkier than what they already look like so I steer away from them. I do however show them off in some beautiful outfits-just because I can, lol.

Most of you have already seen this dress once upon a time...I wore it to my sister's graduation last year. We had some gorgeous weather in Toronto this weekend and I took advantage of it! This dress is also from my beautiful friend and talented designer Andrea Iyamah but I'm afraid she doesn't sell it anymore. Such a shame because it is probably the most beautiful dress I own (well I love all my dresses from her!) I got it for only about $60 but if she brought it back, it would probably cost more. You guys should all message her by visiting her Fan Page on Facebook so that maybe if enough people want it, she may bring it back!
It has some serious color-blocking going on but you know I love that!
