So y'all knew this was coming one day and today is the day! Doesn't it baffle you how excited guys can get about that piece of fat that tends to hang off the posterior of a woman, especially women of African decent. I went out to the club a few weeks ago (unwillingly) and believe it or not, the Dj stopped the music and made everyone look up to the balcony to check this out:
Needless to say, the guys got very excited and the DJ even had the audacity to scream into the mic "I ain't gonna lie, I wanna f**k that ass up"...I don't know about you,but I found the whole thing very very derogatory and disgusting. Of course the girl loved the attention-apparently she's a video vixen here in Toronto, and she even gave the whole club a little booty dance and it just made me think wow, isn't it incredible what the back side can do?!
It just takes me back to every single KING magazine cover, which features a half naked-to naked black woman on each issue, emphasis always being placed on the ass. For example, my dear Lisa Raye on black men's magazine:
Miss Tahiry who's covered countless Black men's mags:
and Miss Melyssa Ford
and we have the obvious ones I did not feel like adding to the picture list like Nicki Minaj and Kim Kardashian.
I could go on but I'm sure you get the point.
Being a curvy woman myslef, I notice these things too! I went to work today in a form-fitting sweater dress and suddenly everyone seemed nicer to me,even the male supervisors!-Mind you, I usually wear longer skirts, dresses, blazers and pants to work. You get more attention from guys when they can see the assets you're working with. I like to be more creative with my dressing but I like the occasional form-fitting dress. I have nothing wrong with curves and men admiring them, the problem ensues when they objectify women because of it. I love seeing a curvy women in so many different outfits because we make them look better! But Let me be known for my brain (in my head) AND then for my great body.
What do you guys think?

Hmm...no comments huh? I guess everybody got so distracted by your pictures they forgot to write! Your club experience was disgusting but then what level of mentality do you expect in a club? The majority of guys dont go there to strike up conversations on the state of the economy, etc! They go there with hopes of, er...what was it the DJ said again...
ReplyDeleteYou do have a valid point, I just wish they wouldn't be so obvious about it and come off as real jerks...oh well I don't go to the club in search of a husband..
