BOX BRAIDS!!

OMG so I am super superrr excited for my next hair style! So excited in fact that although I haven't even bought the hair yet, I'm going to blog about the hair style in anticipation! The style is called Box braids, or what many refer to as the "solange braids" because Solange Knowles is known to have made them even more popular. The thing is, not just anyone can create the certain braid effect I like. I love when my braids are full,neat and all even sized. No extra shreds here and there, not sparsely populated in the front...and it's SOOO hard to find someone here who can do that! Back home (Cameroon) you can pay someone less than $20 in order to get a beautiful full head of braids such as this:

But the braids I'm talking about are the 90s/old school ones:

 

I just love the way she has it up in a bun..so chic.

Everyone knows braids are great for those of who want to do away with heat and chemicals for a while. I really hope mine turn out real nice, even fuller at the top than Solange's own. Nigerian women tend not to be able to give me the full effect I want with my braids (this is based on personal experience so please don't be offended!) so I'm trying a Congolese this time!

But yea, I guess box braids are back in! I'll be sure to post some gorgoeus pics of mine when I get them done-if they come out right! If not,well I guess you'll never know then.
